Course titles can be mistaken for client acceptance or preparation for every task in an oil and gas service assignment.

A practical planning example

Illustrative scenario: A service contractor prepares personnel for workshop and support-facility duties. The coordinator clarifies which equipment a training request refers to and whether any employees have kitchen responsibilities. The company does not use a course result as a client-entry document or evidence of offshore acceptance.

Match subjects to responsibilities

• NFPA 10 — Fire Extinguisher Training: Compare where the identified responsibility concerns portable extinguishers.
• NFPA 17A — Kitchen Fire Suppression Training: Consider for separately assigned kitchen-suppression duties in support facilities.
• NFPA 17 — Dry Powder Fire Suppression Training: Identify the actual system and compare the published scope before selecting; sector employment does not establish suitability.
• NFPA 96 — Hood and Duct Exhaust System Training: Consider only for hood and duct exhaust responsibilities in relevant support facilities.

Organize the company enrollment

1. Identify equipment and tasks without disclosing confidential client information.
2. Compare those needs with the catalog rather than choosing from a sector label.
3. Confirm individual learners and coordinate company payment where needed.
4. Track personal completion separately from client preparation records.
5. Retain client induction, procedures, practical checks and work authorization as distinct requirements.

Each learner needs an individual enrollment and access to the email address associated with that enrollment. After payment is verified and enrollment is created, the learner requests a one-time access code sent by email. Each new login requires a new code, including for returning students. An authenticated session gives access only to courses for which that learner has a valid enrollment.

If the company will pay for several people, contact info@fescousa.com before purchasing to coordinate the payer and individual learner details. Do not assume one purchase enrolls a department, a shared company account is available, or bulk checkout is automatic. Each person studies and takes the exam under their own enrollment.

Prepare a practical or onsite inquiry

An appropriately sized group may inquire about separately arranged practical or onsite training, subject to scope, location, equipment, scheduling, travel, feasibility and quotation. Instructor, equipment and venue availability must be confirmed. Online enrollment does not include practical instruction.

Describe the equipment categories, participant roles and proposed practical tasks. Identify access, travel and client constraints for feasibility review; do not assume a venue, instructor or client acceptance is secured.

Completion and actual work

FESCO awards a Certificate of Completion. Training does not replace the Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ), licensing, permits, inspections, or local requirements. Employers and technicians remain responsible for actual work, safety, supervision, and compliance.

Online completion does not by itself demonstrate hands-on competence.

Questions company buyers ask

Does completion establish offshore or client-site acceptance?

No. No client acceptance or site authorization is promised; those requirements must be handled separately.

Should we choose NFPA 17 because our request says powder?

First identify the equipment and compare the course scope. A word in a request is not enough to establish the appropriate subject.
