Plan restaurant-group learning by location and responsibility
Who this page is for
Plan the right courses for named learners across your restaurant locations. Identify who coordinates kitchen suppression, hood and duct exhaust work, and other relevant equipment at each location. Use those responsibilities to select subjects and name learners. A common operating brand does not create a shared enrollment or prove that every location has the same training need.
The company planning problem
A group needs to organize several locations without treating every employee or kitchen responsibility as interchangeable.
A practical planning example
Illustrative scenario: A restaurant group proposes one coordinator from each of several locations, then finds that one person supports two locations. It removes the duplicate entry, checks each person’s responsibility and asks about company payment. It retains vendor work records at the location level.
Match subjects to responsibilities
- NFPA 10 — Fire Extinguisher Training: Compare for designated portable-extinguisher responsibilities.
- NFPA 17A — Kitchen Fire Suppression Training: Compare for the employees who coordinate or carry relevant kitchen-suppression duties.
- NFPA 17 — Dry Powder Fire Suppression Training: Consider only if identified equipment matches the subject; do not assign from the industry label.
- NFPA 96 — Hood and Duct Exhaust System Training: Compare for hood and duct exhaust responsibilities, separately from suppression.
Organize the company enrollment
- List the equipment responsibilities at each proposed location.
- Identify named learners and remove duplicate person entries.
- Confirm each learner’s email and coordinate payer details before company payment.
- Track individual completion alongside, but separate from, location work records.
- Keep vendor verification, practical observation and local requirements in the location’s own processes.
Each learner needs an individual enrollment and access to the email address associated with that enrollment. After payment is verified and enrollment is created, the learner requests a one-time access code sent by email. Each new login requires a new code, including for returning students. An authenticated session gives access only to courses for which that learner has a valid enrollment.
If the company will pay for several people, contact info@fescousa.com before purchasing to coordinate the payer and individual learner details. Do not assume one purchase enrolls a department, a shared company account is available, or bulk checkout is automatic. Each person studies and takes the exam under their own enrollment.
Confirm the language of the materials, course, examination, support and Certificate of Completion before purchase. This English page does not establish availability of translated delivery.
Prepare a practical or onsite inquiry
An appropriately sized group may inquire about separately arranged practical or onsite training, subject to scope, location, equipment, scheduling, travel, feasibility and quotation. Instructor, equipment and venue availability must be confirmed. Online enrollment does not include practical instruction.
Provide the proposed locations, participant roles and intended practical objectives. Identify which kitchen or other space might be available, then wait for feasibility, equipment and scheduling confirmation.
Send group inquiries to info@fescousa.com with proposed participant roles and numbers, location, equipment, preferred timing and the tasks you want to address. FESCO must assess the request before arrangements or pricing can be confirmed.
Completion and actual work
FESCO awards a Certificate of Completion. Training does not replace the Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ), licensing, permits, inspections, or local requirements. Employers and technicians remain responsible for actual work, safety, supervision, and compliance.
Online completion does not by itself demonstrate hands-on competence.
Questions company buyers ask
Can one regional coordinator be listed for more than one location?
The company can describe that person’s responsibilities, but should coordinate the required individual courses rather than buying duplicate entries blindly or sharing the enrollment.
Does completion verify our kitchen service contractor’s work?
No. Actual work and installation condition need separate verification.
