Plan fire protection learning for an Istanbul workforce
Who this is for
An Istanbul employer managing a hotel kitchen, a storage area and a commercial building should avoid assigning the same course to every role without checking relevance. This page helps a supervisor turn a mixed workplace into a practical training brief: which staff handle portable extinguishers, which review kitchen suppression, and which work around exhaust hoods and ducts?
For teams moving between client premises, record the site and task associated with each learner. A common online study program can provide shared terminology, but local site procedures and supervised practical assessment still belong in the employer's work plan. FESCO does not claim an Istanbul office, local partner or Turkish approval.
Illustrative employer use case
Illustrative planning example—not an actual customer: a hotel maintenance coordinator separates three learning needs. General maintenance staff review NFPA 10-based topics; staff responsible for understanding kitchen suppression consider NFPA 17A; the exhaust-cleaning contractor reviews NFPA 96-based subject matter. The coordinator separately confirms who may inspect, maintain or operate equipment at the property.
Choose a program by the work involved
- NFPA 10 — Fire Extinguisher Training: portable-extinguisher concepts, classifications and inspection awareness for relevant workplace responsibilities.
- NFPA 17A — Kitchen Fire Suppression Training: kitchen-suppression subject matter for people studying these systems; distinguish it from exhaust cleaning.
- NFPA 17 — Dry Powder Fire Suppression Training: the catalog's dry powder suppression subject area. Confirm the match to the actual equipment rather than assuming every powder system is identical.
- NFPA 96 — Hood and Duct Exhaust System Training: hood and duct exhaust-system subject matter for people with relevant kitchen ventilation and cleaning responsibilities.
Online study, language and practical work
The online programs are knowledge-based training with study materials and an online exam. A confirmed paid enrollment provides individual access through an email code. Every new sign-in requires a fresh code, including a returning student; course access is limited to the learner's valid enrollments.
The central catalog is in English. This English information page does not promise Turkish, Arabic or another translated course, exam, support service or certificate. Confirm any language requirement before purchase. Online enrollment does not include hands-on instruction; practical work for an appropriately sized group requires separate confirmed arrangements.
Planning company or practical training
When requesting group arrangements, specify whether staff work at one property or rotate between locations, which shifts need study time, and whether every learner can receive an individual access code. Include the systems involved and the practical tasks you want assessed. For an onsite discussion in Istanbul, identify a possible venue and available equipment without assuming these meet training needs. FESCO is willing to evaluate onsite training requests in Istanbul for an appropriately sized group, subject to arrangement and quotation. Dubai may also be considered as an alternative practical-training option; do not book travel before arrangements are confirmed.
Send the group brief to info@fescousa.com; availability and commercial terms need confirmation.
What the Certificate of Completion means
Online completion does not by itself demonstrate hands-on competence.
Questions employers ask
Should an Istanbul kitchen team choose NFPA 17A or NFPA 96?
They address different subjects: kitchen fire suppression and hood/duct exhaust systems. Select according to each employee’s responsibilities; some roles may benefit from both. Neither program grants permission to undertake regulated work.
Does completing the online course include an Istanbul practical session?
No. Practical instruction is separately arranged. Group size, instructors, scheduling, equipment, venue, travel and quotation must be confirmed before any onsite commitment.
Credential and local responsibilities
FESCO awards a Certificate of Completion. Training does not replace the Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ), licensing, permits, inspections, or local requirements. Employers and technicians remain responsible for actual work, safety, supervision, and compliance.
